Here in our Studio we’re really looking forward to “Pick me up” exhibition, starting next thursday (18th April) until 28th April in Somerset house, London. Last year’s event was really inspiring and gave us the opportunity to buy screen printed art direct from the artists.
Well worth a visit if you’re in the area!
We love the work of Folky artist Naomi Midgley of Little Gretel Press
Naomi enjoys hand printing and the impression these techniques leave on the paper, something that digital prints can’t compete with. Her work consists of screen prints, lino prints and letter press.
Here at Tidings and Things we love a good tile, it’s also well documented that we like a good dose of Mid Century Geometry.
So what’s not to like about these Mid Century Carter tiles.
Carter tiles were top of the league for innovation in the 1950’s and 1960’s, developing a state of the art silk screen printing technique and working with quality artists such as Peggy Angus, Ivor Kamlish and Gordon Cullen.

We visited the Top Drawer trade show in Kensington this week, in this and the following posts we’ll share with you some of our favourite finds from the show.
The first of our favourites is a lady called Nikki McWilliams, who creates lovely cushions and items based on her obsession with tea and biscuits! here is her website: www.nikkimcwilliams.com/
These designs we saw at PG Live from Freya Art are so bright and cheerful you can’t help but like them!
