Bold & Noble
Since moving to the countryside and finding ourselves with a fairly substantial garden complete with vegetable plot and mature fruit trees we set ourselves the lofty goal of being self sufficient come the Autumn. We’ve since downgraded our ambitions to simply eating some produce before the bugs/birds get to it.
Despite our ongoing battle with mother nature we still love these garden themed screen prints by Bold & Noble.
David and Jane both previously worked as designer/Illustrators in the world of Book Publishing creating some lovely work for the likes of Penguin, Random House and Harper Collins.

Pick Me Up Exhibition
On a sunny saturday last week one of our number visited Pick Me Up, a Contemporary Graphic Art Fair in Somerset House, London. The art fair runs until this sunday and it’s definately worth a visit if you can! The show features a gallery exhibition with selected artists, a “Museum of objects and origins”, an activity space and even a zoo! Above are some of our favourite pieces of work.
On a recent trip to the capital of the North (no, not Sheffield, the other one – Manchester), we came across these lovely cards by Lisa Jones Studio in the boho-chic environs of the Oklahoma café. Hand-printed on uncoated paper and all delightfully colourful, we love them. Her simple website belies the range of her work, including mugs, textiles, and greeting cards for everyday, occasions, spring seasons and Christmas.
If you have seen anything cuter than the yellow lion recently, please let us know.
Here in our Studio we are big fans of screen printed art, and have ambitions to do some of our own. Here are some examples of works we admire:
Modes of transport and Yeti by Jim Whittamore
Light Keepers and Whitewater Warrior by Graham Carter
Illustration for Creative review and Christmas card by Tom Frost
Snake Mountain and Roots Alive by Sam Chivers
